[title] Opening the back of the radio
[* black] The aluminium backplate is held in place by four large screws, so remove these first. Then gently pry off the backplate, since in is glued to the plastic back cover. The bottom of the aluminium plate curves around the bottom; this part can be used as a hinge to open.
[* black] Behind the aluminium plate, the plastic back cover is held into place with ± 10 screws; removing these allows it to be removed carefully.
[* black] When opened a small bit, tie-wraps can be seen securing the wires to the speakers. cut these to have more room to open the backplate.
[* black] To fully open, the connectors of the wires of the speakers need to be unplugged, as wel as the ribbon connector to the knobs. The ribbon connector can be disconnected by sliding a small bar. Furthermore the wire from the power supply needs to be disconnected.
[* black] A lot of components have been secured into place with a glue gun, so some of this glue needs to be removed.
