[title] Remove the back cover
[* black] Remove the back cover.
[* icon_reminder] During reassembly:
[* red] Make sure the rubber gasket (marked in red) is undamaged. If damaged, replace it with a new one to maintain water resistance.
+ | [* black] Use 90+% isopropyl alcohol on a cotton swab (q-tip) to clean the rubber gasket on the back and its mating surface on the body of the watch. Just get the cotton swab moist -- you don't want to accidentally push extra alcohol into the watch. Change cotton swabs regularly as you clean so you don't just smear the dirt around. |
+ | [* black] Don't use a lesser strength alcohol -- the high strength stuff will be available in any decent pharmacy, and will evaporate quickly and leave no residue behind. Do NOT use "rubbing alcohol", which is a lesser strength and often has other additives. |
+ | [* black] Do NOT use other solvents like acetone as they may melt the plastic of the watch. |
