-[* red] Take out two 12 mm (length) 4 mm (head) screws using a Phillips #1 screwdriver.
+[* red] Use a Phillips #1 screwdriver to take out two 12 mm (length) 4 mm (head) screws holding the plastic casing to the iPod adapter.
[* black] Pull the plastic casing straight off the end of the iPod connecter with the pins. This exposes the base iPod adapter component!
[* orange] These spiral pins fall off when you take out the iPod adapter.
