-[* black] Remove the switch cover to expose the top of the switch as mounted to the circuit board; the switch just pops off. Turn the toaster oven on its back and apply contact cleaner or 91% isopropyl alcohol to the exposed switch, working the switch while applying cleaner.
+[* black] If it’s not too bad yet try simply cleaning the switch: unplug the toaster oven, pry off the grey plastic on-off button to expose the head of the on/off switch and apply some electrical contact cleaner (CorrosionX or MG Chemicals Super Contact Cleaner or something similar) or, less ideally, 91% or better isopropyl alcohol.
