[title] Remove the feet
-[* black] Repeat the following procedure on all four feet:
- [* black] Push the tip of an opening pick under the mouse foot adhesive where the gap in the rim is.
- [* icon_note] Go slowly, and make sure the pick is underneath both the foot and its adhesive layer. It's easy to separate the foot from its adhesive.
- [* black] Twist the opening pick to separate the foot from the bottom until you can grab it.
- [* black] Remove the foot.
-[* icon_reminder] Before installing your mouse feet, clean any residual adhesive with highly-concentrated isopropyl alcohol (over 90%) and a lint-free or microfiber cloth.
-[* icon_reminder] To reuse the feet, softly tack them on a clean surface such as a [product|IF145-167-4|magnetic mat|new_window=true] or a [product|IF145-257-1|sorting tray|new_window=true].
+[* black] Push the tip of an opening pick underneath the mouse foot adhesive, into the gap in the rim.
+ [* icon_note] Go slowly, and make sure the pick slides underneath both the foot ***and*** its adhesive pad. These layers separate easily.
+ [* icon_caution] If you plan on reusing your mouse feet, be careful not to crease them or separate them from their adhesive pads.
+[* black] Slide your pick under the foot to separate its adhesive until you can grab it with your fingers.
+[* black] Repeat to remove the three remaining mouse feet.
+[* icon_reminder] For installing new mouse feet or reusing your old ones:
+ [* black] Use a pair of tweezers or a spudger to remove any large chunks of leftover adhesive. Thoroughly clean the bottom of the mouse with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free of microfiber cloth. Allow the surface to dry completely.
+ [* black] Peel your new mouse feet away from their adhesive liners and press them firmly into place.
