[title] Disconnect the battery
-[* black] Use a pair of tweezers to pull the [guide|25629|battery connector|stepid=370865|new_window=true] straight out of its slot.
- [* icon_note] Pull up with a rocking motion to "walk" the battery connector out of its slot.
+[* icon_caution] Be careful during this step, as the socket is very fragile—don't use extreme force.
+[* black] Use a pair of tweezers to firmly grip the sides of the connector and pull straight away from the socket. Hold the tweezers closer to the connector to get a better grip.
+ [* icon_note] If you're having trouble, try rocking the connector side-to-side to loosen it.
[* icon_reminder] During reassembly, make sure the battery connector is oriented correctly when you insert it into its slot. The red wire should be on the side where the motherboard is marked with a plus sign (+).
