[title] Remove palmrest (aka "keyboard bezel")
[* black] To be safe, reattach the laptop bottom cover, then flip the laptop over and open the screen so it lies flat.
[* black] Use the spudger and guitar picks to unhook the palmrest from the rest of the laptop.
[* black] Note: if at any point it seems like the palmrest will not detach, you may have missed a screw from the underside in a previous step.
[* black] Lift up the front edge of the palmrest, then carefully wiggle it loose from under the screen hinge.
[* black] Note: a thin ribbon cable attached to the underside of the touchpad was connected to the motherboard. (You had detached it along with two keyboard ribbon cables in an earlier step.) Carefully pull it out from under the black metal keyboard frame.
