+ | [* black] You can remove the top back cover by gently wiggling each of the hinge points up while it is open. Also loosen the captive screw on the bean area and then you can remove that grate by gently sqeezing together the two hinge points. |
[* black] Carefully pour out any beans in the machine by turing it over and letting the beans fall into a large bowl. You have to remove the top to get inside and if there are beans still in the machine they will fall all over when you remove the top. | |
[* black] The six screws labeled with the red circles need to be removed before the top can be taken off. One under each of the left and right top hinged covers, two on the top back cover and two under the ground coffee top door. | |
[* black] The original black screws were very hard to get out but I had luck with the needle nose pliers in my trusty leatherman charge model multi tool. I tired several needle nose pliers. | |
[* black] I threw those screws away and replaced them with simple nice phillips ones. That is why they appear silver in the photo and yours are probably black. I am pretty sure the manufacture does not want us to peek inside :o) | |
