+[* black] The actual hinge mechanism is that little oval part with two flaps on it. There's one on the top and the bottom. Each flap is screwed to a bar (seen in last step) that mates the top and bottom hinges together. The midframe also screws onto that bar.
+ [* black] The metal midframe is screwed onto to the bar, while the plastic outer frame is just kinda wedged/adhered to the edge of the hinge and bar when they're screwed together (like it has a grove that protrusions from the hinge flaps and bar flaps slot into).
