+ | [* black] I bought some replacement terminals that had similar dimensions. The screw holes also line up with the screw holes on the subwoofer cabinet. However, there's a problem. The solder terminals on the new terminals are too wide to fit through the holes in the Klipsch circuit board. |
---|---|
+ | [* black] Notice the difference in width between the solder terminals in the photos between the new speaker terminals and the old ones? |
+ | [* black] What to do next? I considered modding the new terminals. I thought I might cut the solder terminals off the older terminals, solder them onto the solder terminals of the newer terminals, then trim off the difference betweeen the two. But that would probably be tricky. |
+ | [* black] Then I considered just desoldering the wires going to the PCB, gluing the new speaker terminals to the amp assembly and directly soldering the wires to the solder terminals. In effect, bypassing the PCB altogether. Unless, someone knows a model of terminal that will fit this enclosure AND has solder terminals to fit those holes? |
