[title] Loosen the flywheel
[* icon_caution] Before you begin this step, ensure you have proper PPE.
[* black] Use a universal puller to loosen the flywheel from the tapered pressure fit on the end of the crankshaft.
[* red] Attach the universal puller arms underneath the denoted "puller" sections on the flywheel.
[* black] Use a wrench to torque down the puller to slowly loosen the flywheel.
[* icon_note] This may take a lot of force.
[* icon_note] If the flywheel seems to become stuck after significant pressure is applied with the universal puller, you may need to use a blowtorch to slowly apply heat where the flywheel contacts the crankshaft.
- [* icon_caution] The flywheel may come loose at any time, potentially sending itself and the puller into the air. If the flywheel starts to become warped, stand back and make sure to wear proper PPE.
+ [* icon_caution] The flywheel may come loose at any time, ***potentially sending itself and the puller into the air.*** If the flywheel starts to become warped, stand back and ***make sure to wear proper PPE.***
+[* black] The flywheel will "pop" off the crankshaft once loose.
