[title] Separate the case
[* black] First remove the four top screws holding the top panel and the four screws at the back holding the back panel. Pop the interface out of the case.
[* icon_reminder] Do not unscrew the bottom plate. There is nothing behind the back panel. Only massive plastic case, which smells quite annoyingly when opened. Save you some time and leave the back panel where it is.
[* yellow] The board is being held by massive standoffs which help to avoid flexing. No screws here.
[* light_blue] The housing is made of very massive ABS. Nothing else to see from the bottom of the unit.
[* green] The bottom plate is made of ca. 1mm thick painted steel sheet.
[* icon_note] The unit is very easy to open and to repair. Nice!
[* icon_caution] Self-tapping screws are used to assemble this unit. Do not overtighten during reassembly. Not made for frequent reassembly.
[* icon_note] The unit weighs 880g. This is a lot for a soundcard in mostly plastic casing. The weight and robustness are achieved using the metal plate and an unusually thick ABS plastic case.
