-[* black] Next the battery housing/protective cover will need to be removed. This will require a 00 Phillips head screwdriver.
-[* red] Using this screwdriver, remove the screws that hold the protective housing to the smartphone; there should be 14 screws with a length of 3 mm and one screw with a length of 6 mm.
-[* orange] Three of the screws will not come loose from the protective housing and can be identified by a metal plate that is underneath them. In total there are 18 screws.
-[* black] After loosening and removing all the screws lift the housing along the edges using the pry tool and [product|IF145-020|tweezers], there will be a sticky pad that holds the housing to the smartphone don't be afraid to give it a firm tug until the housing breaks free of the sticky pad.

+[* red] Use the Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the screws securing the protective housing to the smartphone. There should be fourteen screws measuring 3 mm in length and one screw measuring 6 mm.
