+ | [* black] Now the motherboard and internal components of the smartphone should be exposed. Locate the back facing camera, it should be in the center of the motherboard toward the top of the phone. |

+ | [* black] Once you have located the back facing camera locate the connector that connects the camera to the motherboard; this will need to be disconnected. |
+ | [* black] Disconnect the camera by grabbing this connector with tweezers and firmly pulling on the connector until it pops out. The camera will have a sticky pad on it like the protective housing did and will take a firm tug to come free of the smartphone. Once the old camera is free of the smartphone place it to the side and continue to the next step. |
