[* black] Use the edge of an iPod opening tool to separate the hold switch from the adhesive securing it to the top edge of the display.
[* icon_caution] The hold switch ribbon cable is extremely fragile and easily broken. Work gently.
+[* black] If the screen appears to separate from the switch and the metal surround you have separated the wrong adhesive. you need to get between the circuit of the switch and the thin metal plate behind it. When this step is complete the switch should be free from the back of the screen.
