[* red] There are five tabs underneath the keyboard that hold the keyboard in place along the top edge. Refer to the photo for a rough idea of the location of these tabs.

+[* black] Using the spudger and iFixit Opening Tool, wedge the tool inside the space of each tab. Use the tool as a lever to pry the keyboard directly up, following the hinge at the edge of the keyboard closest to you. Ensure that the tool reaches under both the plastic keyboard cover and the metal base of the keyboard, as both will be removed.
+[* black] Use multiple tools to lift all the tabs at once. Once you have a few tools in place, it's possible to slide your tool along the underside of the keyboard and unclip all of the tabs at once.
+[* black] Once all five tabs along the top are removed, the keyboard should pop off quite easily, following the hinge at the bottom side of the board.
