-[* black] Very gently, insert the prying tool into the seam that keeps the face plate clipped onto the laptop.
-[* black] You are trying to undo several small plastic clips that keep the face plate on. Carefully move the tool around the screen and apply a small amount of pressure to pry open the clasps.
