[* black] With the dial facing towards you, push the toaster base up and away from you until the base is just over the lip of the shell. This will disconnect the browning dial from the rest of the toaster, as shown in the photo.
-[* black] The only thing holding the shell onto your toaster now should be the knob on the toasting lever. Pull the knob off (it may take some force).

+[* black] Reach under the shell and grab the back, white part of the lever.
+[* icon_caution] Grab the grey part with your index finger and your middle finger and pull. Caution: pulling too hard will break the mechanism holding the grey handle onto the white lever.
