+[* black] Check if you can identify where the issue in the wire begins. If it is far enough away from the actual connections, it may be possible to splice a wire in between. If that is the case then use wire strippers to cut away the troubled area.
+[* black] If the troubled area cannot be found, then the majority wire will need to be replaced. Take a soldering iron and remove the wire from its connection to the circuit board and strippers to remove it close to whatever component it is connected to.
