[* icon_caution] In this step, make sure to only disconnect the connector from its socket, and not the entire socket from the interconnect board.
[* black] Use the tip of a spudger to gently pry the hard drive thermal sensor connector away from its socket on the interconnect board. Make sure to only detach the connector and not the socket that is soldered to the interconnect board.
+[* black] Comment from user. I broke the connector off trying to remove this socket. It was very tight. Suggest you skip removing this socket and instead remove the thermal sensor at the hard drive (which you have to do anyway). Without the sensor the fan comes on at full speed, but the computer works fine. I will have a jeweler friend reattach socket to board or solder wires directly.
