-[* black] now clean out the vanes of the heat sink and the fan, a swiffer duster works well for this purpose.
-[* icon_caution] be very gentle with the heat sink assembly. If you apply too much pressure, you may break its connection with other components and some vital parts.
-[* black] the second image is the dust i pulled out of my heat sink - there was a solid wall of it. my computer now runs much more quietly.
-[* icon_note] if you want to, there are three small black screws on the fan itself that hold the metal shield on and you can more thoroughly clean the fan if you remove that.
