-[* red] Removing the frame and LCD from the front bezel seems to have had its cost. The frame was held down by small plastic fasteners that protruded through holes in the frame and were topped with small plastic ringings. It seems that there is no way to remove the frame without snapping off the small rings.
-[* black] Luckily, there are other clips and a fair amount of adhesive on the frame that assures us it should all hold together fine when we reassemble the device.
