+[* black] Check Capacitor C5 (a black, 680uF 20V radial model) for burn marks, bulging etc. If it is defective, proceed to desoldering it and replacing it with a similar value. I used a 25V Nichicon replacement, as seen in the photo, just in case. Note the original was a cheap "LM" brand model.
