Use this guide to bring life back to your iPhone 6s with a new battery. Before starting, realize that there are two parts that--if ruined during installation--will prevent you from putting your phone back together.
The kit comes with a one set of battery adhesive strips. They are quite fragile and easily ruined if you let them fold. If you ruin the strips, the phone can't be put back together until you get another set. So if you haven't done this before, you might want to buy a second set of strips. Similarly, the kit comes with one adhesive gasket for the case. Again this is quite fragile and easy to ruin. While the phone can be put back together without the gasket, you might want to buy a second gasket just in case.
For optimal performance, calibrate your newly installed battery by first draining it below 10%, then charging it uninterrupted to 100%. | | This guide instructs you to detach the front panel assembly; this is intended to prevent damage to the display cables. If you feel comfortable supporting the display carefully while peeling the battery out of the iPhone, you can skip the display removal and go directly to the battery removal steps. | | You can also use this guide to replace the '''[https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/iPhone+6s+Battery+Replacement/56607#s120318|battery connector bracket]'''. |
