Introduction |
| This spring piston mechanism acts as the primary form of energy storage for your blaster to fire darts. When the blaster is cocked, the air-tight piston mechanism is pulled back and the large spring is compressed, holding in potential energy. Once the blaster is triggered, the energy from the spring pushes the piston forward towards the front of the blaster. Because the piston is air-tight against the walls of the chamber, it pushes all of the air out towards the opening in the front. As this air exits the chamber, it then pushes the dart out of the barrel. If any issues exist with this device, it is usually with the chamber being air-tight. If any air is allowed to exit otherwise, it greatly reduces the effectiveness of the blaster. |
