The Audiovox CDM-8900 is a flip phone with a camera and blue lights on either side of the hinge. In the case where you would have to replace the camera, you would have to remove the camera from the logic board of the cell phone prior. You may do this with the following guided steps. |
If the camera on your Audiovox is not working correctly or showing a black screen when trying to use the camera then you might need a camera replacement. |
There is no need to purchase a new phone. Just replace the camera! |
When starting this project, make sure you have a screwdriver, ifixit opening tool and the camera for the replacement ready. Be careful when unscrewing the screws, make sure you keep them in a safe place so you won't loss them. Also when opening the phone make sure you take it apart gently, that will help you separate the motherboard form the phone. |
Step 6 requires you to take the motherboard and simply add the new camera carefully and verify that orient the camera correctly when reinserting. |
Remember to carefully place everything back to it original place. |
