At the very least do this over a hard surface of some kind, never above a carpeted surface. | | | :Also recommended is that you have a static free cloth (listed in required tools: made of natural fiber like cotton, not polyester) to set the circuit boards on. This protects the circuitry from getting scratched or short circuited which usually damages your device further. | | The circuit board contains the CPU, hot sync port, and infrared port. If any of these things aren't working, the circuit board may be the cause. |
