Use this guide to replace the USB board in your HP EliteBook 840 G7 laptop.
The USB board includes the two USB‑A ports and audio jack. If the USB‑A ports or headphone jack on your HP EliteBook 840 Aero G8laptop are broken or have a loose connectionconnections, you may need to replace the USB board.
Before replacing the connector board, test the ports with a different cable to make sure the problem is with the port itself and not the cable.
