Introduction
Use this guide to replace the audio jack (aka headphone jack or 3.5 mm jack) in your HP EliteBook 840 G9 laptop.
You may need to replace the audio jack if your headphone cable has a loose connection or if you hear distorted sound, static noise, or audio only coming from one side.
Before replacing this port, test with a different audio cable or different pair of headphones to make sure the problem is with the port itself and not the cable.
