Introduction
I haven't seen a guide on upgrading the m.2 SSD on the 2024 ASUS Rog G14 laptop. Here is a quick guide to whoever wants to attempt at upgrading their laptop.
I used the IFIXIT Essential Electronics Toolkit for this repair and a external M.2 drive enclosure to clone (copy) the C drive.
The 2024 ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 GA403UV laptop came with a 1TB WD SSD drive and I wanted to upgrade the storage space. On this particular laptop the RAM is LPDDR5X and it is soldered on the motherboard, it has 16GB with no way of upgrading the RAM so the only upgrade I am able to do is to upgrade the storage space. The SSD upgrade I went with was the WD_Black SN850X NVMe Gen 4 2TB 2280 M.2 drive.
I installed the new drive into an external enclosure and cloned the drive using Acronis True Image for Western Digital to copy the existing drive to the new drive. The software was a free download from the Western Digital website and I was able to make an exact copy (clone) of the boot drive C.

After the clone process was complete all that was left was to remove the 1TB drive and to install the new 2TB drive, button up the laptop and boot it up. The laptop booted up without any issues or, the need to install any software. The only thing I neededleft to do was to install the drivers for the new drive to get the max speed of the new drive.
