Introduction
If the graphite inserts on your nailer'sRidgid R175RNE nosepiece have worn out, then follow this guide to know how to replace them by taking off the nosepiece. All you'll need is some sort ofa small pry tool to remove a single C-clip.

The nosepiece is what centers the nails that are fired, and keeps it from firing off in a different direction.

In Step 1, be sure to remove the C-clip in a well-lit, enclosed space. Otherwise, once you have it may fly off to parts unknown.

Caution: As noted in Step 1, disconnect the nailer from any air supply before starting this guide.
