Stick drift is an often occuring problem in all game controllers because the analog sticks in them are prone to deterioration. There's a natural wear and tear in the potentiometer(the part the connects the analog sticks) which can cause it to stop working or get stick drift. |
Another reason for it may be that it's dirty, cleaning it with isopropyl alchohol on a cloth is a more immediate solution or you may even attempt to callibrate or adjust the deadzones where possible but if you want a permanent fix you should consider replacing the analog sticks entirely. |
Before starting this replacement disconnect the game controller from any device or power source. |
When working on the analog sticks be gentle with the them because excessive force can completely ruin to the potentiometer. |
