Introduction
The dust cap or locking sleeve may be damaged if the drill is consistently getting clogged with debris or is not hitting hard enough. For instructions to replace the dust cap and locking sleeve assembly, refer to this guide.
The dust cap's job is to seal the inside of the drill to prevent debris from going in, but long-term usage of the drill can result with debris entering. The locking sleeve is a movable piece that locks bits into place to prevent them from moving independantly from the drill's rotation.
