The Apple IIGS was released in 1986, marking a new chapter in the aging Apple II line, it had vastly improved graphics and sound (hence the GS!), and with it, came new power supplies. There were 2 models, one made by Dyna-Comp, and one made by Astec. This guide will cover the disassembly of the Astec model in preparation for replacing the capacitors.
