Welcome Traveler,
If you have been looking for the exact number of thermal pads you have to replace and the surfaces to be covered with thermal paste in your MSI GS 60 (2QC in my case), you came to the right place (to check your PC model, go to Windows>System Information, read "System Model").
Although this is a fairly easy job now that I look a step back, I must say it was quite frustrating to never quite get my hands on the right tutorial or the information I needed. I spent a lot of time looking for the exact tutorial in vain. Therefore, I figured some might encounter the same problem and decided to post this tutorial, and worse comes to worst, it will just be another lost webpage on the internet. :)
I will explain how to:
* Dismantle your MSI GS 60
* Access the motherboard where we want to do your maintenance job
* Clean the heat drain and important surfaces
* Apply thermal paste and thermal pads
* Reassemble your MSI GS 60

Ce tutoriel à pour but de vous aider à déterminer le nombre et les surfaces exactes de patchs thermiques ainsi que de pâte thermique à remplacer sur votre MSI GS 60 (dans mon cas, le 2QC). Pour connaître le modèle de votre ordinateur recherchez dans l'assistant Windows "System Information", il reconnaîtra l'anglais même s'il est configuré en Français).
Concernant la difficulté du tutoriel, il s'agit d'une tâche relativement simple avec un peu de recul, cependant j'ai eu beaucoup de mal à trouver la bonne information ou les bonnes instructions. En pensant que je ne devais pas être le seul à avoir rencontré ce problème, j'ai décidé de proposer ce tutoriel. Dans le pire des cas, ce sera une autre page perdue dans les tréfonds d'Internet.
On détaillera les étapes suivantes:

* Accès à la carte mère sur laquelle vous effectuerez la maintenance
* Nettoyage du drain thermique et des surfaces fonctionnelles
* Pose de la pâte thermique et des patchs
