Introduction
Use this guide to replace a bi-fold door track that is warped, damaged, or no longer holding the doors in place. Bi-fold doors are doors that slide open and typically consist of two or more panels that are hinged together. The bi-fold doors are able to slide away and fold into itself by sliding within the track that sits on the top of the header of the frame. Your track may need to be replaced if the doors are constantly detaching or not able to slide freely when opening. If you are having trouble with your doors, it is possible to be experiencing other common issues associated with bi-fold doors. Other fixes can include resetting the guide inside the track or needing to tighten the hinges. Ensure that the guide inside the track is aligned with the edge of the door frame. To check for the process of tightening, check the hinges for looseness to see if they are properly intact for opening and closing of the doors. Lastly clear the track of any debris. After checking that none of these common issues are present use this guide to replace the parts of the door track.
