Introduction
You will be replacing a hood strut (also called a hood lift support).
Hood struts wear out every six years, depending on how often you lift open your hood. To change hood struts, follow the guide below.
Using a pocket screwdriver, you will pry out the metal clip and pull out at the same,to disconnect the ball and socket, same process on the bottom, getting the new Hood Lift Support, bottom side of the socketold hood strut. You will repeat this on both the top and bottom of the hood. Then, hasyou will line up the metal clip onof the backnew hood strut and line that up with the ballpress until it snaps in and stud then press that on it should snap and locklocks into place.
