You will be replacing a hood strut (also called a hood lift support).
Hood Struts warestruts wear out every 6six years, depending on how often you lift open your Hoodhood. To change these hood struts you will need to, follow the guide below and the steps on how to do it.
Using a pocket screw driverscrewdriver, pry out the metal clip and pull out at the same, disconnect the ball and socket, same process on the bottom, getting the new Hood Lift Support, bottom side of the socket, has the metal clip on the back and line that up with the ball and stud then press that on it should snap and lock into place.
