Use this guide to replace the thermal fuse on a Whirlpool Dryer WGD4800XQ. A thermal fuse is an essential part of a dryer because it prevents fires by detecting when the dryer is overheating and shutshutting it down. Through normal wear and tear, a thermal fuse can overheat and fail, causing the dryer to not produce heat.
