Introduction
Use this guide to remove or replace the daughterboard in your Motorola Edge (2022).
Before you begin, download the [link|https://www.motorola.com/us/rescue-and-smart-assistant/p|Rescue and Smart Assistant|new_window=true] app to backup your device and diagnose whether your problem is software or hardware related.
***For your safety, discharge the battery below 25% before disassembling your phone.*** This reduces the risk of a dangerous thermal event if the battery is accidentally damaged during the repair. If your battery is swollen, [[What to do with a swollen battery|take appropriate precautions|new_window=true]].
The daughterboard and USB-C charging port are soldered together; replacing one component means replacing both.
You'll need replacement adhesive to complete this repair.
