Introduction
I've had an Xbox one console since 2014 and have run into the drift stick problem multiple times with different controllers. Drift stick is a problem where the screen moves on its own without you touching the controller. I decided to make this guide to help others who run into this problem and who don't know how to fix it.
Growing up, I have always played on an Xbox, and I have had problems with drift stick several times with different controllers. This problem becomes annoying over time when playing first and third-person video games. When I play video games, I want to perform the best I can, and I couldn't with a drift stick. Since those experiences, I decided to create this guide to help others running into the same problem. You'll know when a controller has a drift stick when your character moves or looks all over when not touching the controller. Fixing the issue doesn't take long, and you only need two items one 70% Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol and 3 to 4 cotton balls. If the analog stick on the controller is already falling apart and is messed up, just get a new one.
