Introduction
Is your trackpad enabled yet not responding? If so, this is a guide to fix the problem by replacing the trackpad of your computer. In order to go about with replacing it, the back cover of the laptop must be removed to expose both the Phillips head screws which secure the battery and the battery itself. Then the battery must be removed to uncover the trackpad and the screws that secure it. Please remember to power down your computer and unplug it to avoid any power surges or shorts. Failing to power down and disconnect the battery may result in further harm to the laptop or even yourself, so precautions must be taken.
