Introduction
Use this guide to replace the back cover on your Steam Deck, or to remove it for further repairs.
Before you begin, completely ***power down and unplug all cables*** from your Steam Deck. Remember to follow general electrostatic discharge (ESD) safety procedures while repairing the device.
***Note:*** The back buttonsbutton faces (L4, R4, L5, and R5) are baked in topart of the back cover and cannot be separately removed.
Valve warns that removing the back cover can weaken the Steam Deck's structural integrity.
