Title |
Zippo Lighter Flint Replacement |
|
Introduction |
If your zippo lighter isn’t creating sparks any more, a likely culprit is the stick of flint. When the wheel is flicked, it rotates against a small flint stick underneath it to throw sparks onto the wick and light the lighter. Without the sparks, it’s impossible for the lighter to light on it’s own.[br] Before using this guide, ensure the problem is the stick of flint. Look carefully at the flint and wheel. If the flint is not visible or is not able to touch the wheel, then this guide is for you. If the wheel is clearly damaged or no longer rotating, then there is likely another problem.[br] Step (#) will have you unscrew the bottom screw holding the spring in. Do this step carefully so the spring does not go flying, as this component is necessary for the lighter to work. |
