Introduction
Today, April 24th, 2023, we are going to rebuild theIf your 2002 Kawasaki KLR650 Carburetor. This will is needing to be rebuilt-to aid in better control to the air and fuel entering the engine-please use this guide to replace it. Please inspect all parts before starting this project. Also before starting, please remove all old fuel inside the bowl.
Skills required are the basic mechanical skills and tools such as a cleaner and a carburetor kit. Rebuilding the carburetor isn’t a hard process and is pretty quick.
Removing the bowl and taking the gasket out of the bowl will be your first step in aiding to better control the air and fuel.
Please have Phillips #1 screwdriver, flat head screwdriver and 8mm combination wrench available. Please note that in step 7 that the spring loaded.
Please note that in step 11 to not over tighten as this is made of brass and may strip easily.
