How repair auto-open Miele dishwasher
Introduction
MIELE has made an energy saving door openening system. Nice, but: NEVER PUSH the door in while the appliance is in DRYING mode (lock as spare part is VERY expensive)
For all smart consumers and for independant Miele repairers: this is the trick that is kept secret: if you slide the machine from under the cabinet, you will see the lock mechanism. Check fully left of the white plastic arm, at the end you can rewind the ratchet inside. Take 10 turns while you hear it rattle and thats all. Now the spring is reloaded and the door will close tightly again, without leaking!
Not in the manual, until europe ecodesign rules will make it obligatory.
