This guide will show you how to replace the thermal paste inside a PS4. Now you might wonder just what thermal paste is. Thermal paste is a silver liquid you apply to a processor to transfer heat to a cooling solution. You want to replace the thermal paste of any electronic every couple of years or so since the thermal paste will dry out. The thermal paste board is right under the heat syncsink, and the heat syncsink is where all the dust builds up. If you clean the heat syncsink and replace the thermal paste, your PS4 will be working as if it was brand new. My PS4 is about six years old, and after doing this whole procedure, it never overheats anymore and is as quiet as a mouse. The only skills required for this task is you have to be able to screw and unscrew screws.
