Somevariations newer versions of this modemdo not even don’t include a heatsin at allk , and will have problems maintaining a high connection speed.

Before trying this guide, make sure the modem has access to plenty of air and that nothing is blocking the vents on either side; as it can help the modem’s processor stay cool.

This guide will show you how to open the device and apply a new heatsink to the system. Before beginning, disconnect all cables from the back of the modem.
