This details how to remove the (satellite) speaker terminals on the back of the Klipsch Promedia 2.1 computer speakers. Replacement with new terminals has proven to be a challenge (seelittle challenging, later)but worth it. | | | How do you know if your speakers are the original version of the Promedia 2.1 model? | | | # There is a power switch on the amp. | | # One of the satellite (small) speakers has a control pod, with volume and bass control and; | | # It says version 2.1 on the amp surface near the serial number. | | The reason this has not progressed furthers is because I have not found a drop-in replacement that will both fit the opening in the amp/sub cabinet and has solder terminals that fit directly through the holes in the existing circuit board where they are designed to be soldered in. I’m currently trying to come up with a mod to get around this. |
