Title
Repairing SR405QM Trust Rod
Introduction
The trust rod can be replaced with the strings on the bass under tension, or with the strings off. Personally, I dislike the location of the strings in relation to the screws covering the plate covering the trust rod, and the trust rod is covered perfectly by the D string. Thus, because the Alan wrench we are using is bulky, this guide will be done with the strings off.
Note, if the strings are off, the fretboard will bow. Thus, determining how much the trust rod needs to be tightened or loosened must be done while the strings are still on the bass and under tension.
